First serious snowfall of the season
Yesterday, we had our first serious snowstorm of the season. I can't say it's the first one for the year, because we get serious snowstorms from January until April sometimes. And this morning, it was 13 F driving into work. Brrrr!! Today, I'm very thankful for cars with heaters that work really, really well.

Xanadu is calling you ... oo oo
Last weekend, Mr. Perfect and Most Happy Girl ventured yet again into the deep, dark south of Cedar City to see Drama Queen in her latest theatrical en devour: Xanadu: the Musical. She played Clio/Kira (the lead), and had only three weeks to learn the music and lines while perfecting her mad (aka until-this-role non-existent) roller skating skills. She triumphed, and the show was so much fun to watch. The cast had a blast. What an amazingly talented group of students.

Fall pictures
Mr. Perfect and Most Happy Girl had a chance to sit for our favorite photography, Melina Moore. Isn't she amazing?

A brief visit
We had so much fun last month visiting Lawyer-in-the-Works that we decided she needed to come home sooner than Christmas. Well, it wasn't just us telling her this. She was also getting this from friends, her mom, other family members ...
So she came home for a very brief (flew in late Thursday evening, flew out Sunday morning) visit, but it was so much fun to see her. Her birthday was on Tuesday, and Mr. Perfect and Most Happy Girl were able to take her and her older half-sister (Super Teacher Woman) out to dinner. It was really nice for Mr. Perfect and Super Teacher Woman to reconnect (he helped raise her from age 2 until she turned 18). We were also able to catch up on what's been happening with Lawyer-in-the-Works for the last five weeks and eat some really good Italian food (excellent restaurant choice, Lawyer-in-the-Works).

International Talk Like a Pirate Day -- yesterday
I feel like I missed a great opportunity by not posting this yesterday, but I'm posting it now. Does that make my blogging miss less pathetic? No? Well, enjoy this anyway.

Never forget
A friend of our works in one of the tall buildings that surrounds Ground Zero of the World Trade Center. Over the last year since they moved to the New York area, he has been watching construction for the memorials. I think the sunken fountains are amazing and beautiful, and a fitting tribute to the people who lost their lives on that tragic morning twelve years ago. I find it astonishing to think that twelve years have past, but I also find it astonishing to think it has only been twelve years.

Time for another contest? I'll need some help..
I just took a small gander at the blog counter, and this is what I saw:
14000 even? Who catches things like that? Crazy.
Anyhoo, I think it's time again for a contest, but I'm out of ideas. So, if you have an idea for a contest I could do (along with rules and prizes -- be reasonable, please), then comment on this post and tell me what you think I should do and offer.
Go!

Love these faces
Mr. Perfect and Most Happy Girl had a wonderful trip to Spokane to visit Lawyer-in-the-Works over the Labor Day weekend. We had a lot of fun, ate a lot of really good food (great suggestions from Lawyer-in-the-works), and were able to make a session at the Spokane LDS Temple. (Another down, almost 100 to go.) I don't have many of the pictures ready to post online, but here are three that make me smile.
I'll try to post more later today or tomorrow. In the meantime, here's one from the temple.
And one of Mr. Perfect up close and personal.
