Happy Anniversary to the one I love

Five years ago today, I married the most amazing person I have ever met. He is kind, loving, patient, and dang sexy. He makes me feel loved, appreciated, needed, and dang sexy. Mr. Perfect, thank you again for being perfect for me. I can't wait for eternity with you.

Wing Nutz and Granite Furniture

For our anniversary lunch, Mr. Perfect and I went to Wing Nutz to enjoy some Parmesan Curry and Raspberry Chipolte wings (yummm!). There's one right across the street from where Mr. Perfect was working away at the old Granite Furniture store. The owners are hoping to turn it into smaller shops and some condos on the upper level. Here are pictures of us on the roof by the old Granite Furniture sign.

They're hoping to save the sign; it still turns. We couldn't get a picture together because it was only us up there. Alas, ear wax.

Three years and still going strong...

Oh how I love me this man.

Happy Anniversary to us...tomorrow

Tomorrow is our 2nd anniversary. Wow! I can hardly believe it's been two years, but has it really only been two years? The last two years have been the most amazing, wonderful, and hardest of my life. And I wouldn't trade it for anything. Even the hard stuff.

Because if I did, it would mean that Mr. Perfect wouldn't be in my life. I love him so completely, and yet that love grows more each day. I love these lyrics from Brad Paisley's song Then:

I remember, trying not to stare the night that I first met you
You had me mezmorized
And three weeks later, in the front porch light
Taking forty-five minutes to kiss goodnight
I hadn't told you yet
But I thought I loved you then

Chorus:
And now you're my whole life
Now you're my whole world
I just can't believe the way I feel about you, girl
Like a river meets the sea,
Stronger than it's ever been.
We've come so far since that day
And I thought I loved you then

And I remember, taking you back to right where I first met you,
You were so surprised
There were people around, but I didn't care
Got down on one knee right there once again,
I thought I loved you then

Chorus:
And now you're my whole life
Now you're my whole world
I just can't believe the way I feel about you, girl
Like a river meets the sea,
Stronger than it's ever been.
We've come so far since that day
And I thought I loved you then

I could just see you, with a baby on the way
And I could just see you, when your hair is turning gray
What I can't see is how I'm ever gonna love you more
But I've said that before

And now you're my whole life
Now you're my whole world
I just can't believe the way I feel about you, girl
We'll look back someday, at this moment that we're in
And I'll look at you and say
And I thought I loved you then
And I thought I loved you then

So very true. I love the fact that love grows and deepens when we nurture it and care more about the other person then ourselves. I love that someone loves me that way.

Mr. Perfect, I won't tell you to never change, because change is required for us to become all that we can be. I only ask that you be the person Heavenly Father knows you to be. And that you let me be there to see what He makes of you.

I love you.

Happy Anniversary to Us!

Today is our first anniversary. Because it was also fast Sunday, we didn't do anything fun for breakfast (like eating in bed or making Swedish pancakes), but we did have a lot of parents over for dinner. We also had Most Happy Girl's favorite non-homemade cake (white with lemon filling) from her favorite bakery (Glaus). Here are some pictures of it.

Don't look too closely; his eyes are closed.

The full cake. Ask me sometime about the ruined corner. It's a pretty funny story.

Mr. Perfect gave Most Happy Girl some fun things from Pampered Chef (though he had as much fun at the party and won all the games [he is a bit competitive]). Most Happy Girl gave Mr. Perfect a new antenna and rear window cleaner squirter for the Exterra. We love getting AM radio nice and clear again. This morning, Mr. Perfect surprised Most Happy Girl with her favorite dark chocolate truffles, and she surprised him with a CD of fun/romantic songs. It's good to be us.
