More evidence that Psycho Wunderhund has earned his name

Don't get me wrong. We love our dog. He is very lovable. And even though we have grand plans of the dog we hope to have one day, in the very distant future when Psycho Wunderhund has gone on to his grand doggie reward in the next life, we have no plans to hastening that day. That said, here he is showing why we will not be buying him anymore toys with squeakers in them. No matter how big the manufacturer's promises are about double and triple stitching. I've cleaned up enough fluffy stuffing and completely destroyed squeaker globes for a dog's lifetime. To give you a time frame of his destructive abilities, he's been playing with this toy for about two weeks.

Happiness is a clean dog

Poor, poor, Psycho Wunderhund. It had been a long, long, L O N G time since he was clean. With the bathroom under construction and no working tub in the house, we've been at a loss as to how to get this puppy clean during the cold weather months.

We'll Game Boy mentioned that they wash Kevin, the German Shepard at their mom's, using one of those large tubs that you store things in. So, Mr. Perfect went and found the perfect-sized one for Psycho -- 50 gallons, dark blue. It is a thing of beauty.

And now, so is Psycho Wunderhund. We put the tub in the front yard in a sunny spot and filled it about half full with warm water from the house. He wasn't a happy camper about getting in or having water poured all over him (he made a big fuss about his face), but he did seem to like the scrubbing and rubbing and all the extra attention.

Yes, he is a thing of beauty again. And he smells a whole lot better.

Day Six

For our next dog, we want a German Shepard. Not that we don't love the Pyscho Wunderhund, but we would like a pet that doesn't try to kill us with love.

And just to be fair to the current pet, I would keep him too, so here's a picture of him.

Here's a picture of Psycho Wunderhund's dog run with all of the mud and snow. Poor thing. Glad it's not me back there. He will be getting a Dogloo for Christmas, if we can determine he's past the puppy stage of chewing everything in sight.
