Drama Queen's new do

Drama Queen has been cast as Peppermint Patty in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, her final high school show. The drama teacher asked her if she'd be willing to cut her hair for the part. She's had long hair her whole life. Whole life. She was a little nervous about it, but it turned out really cute.

Game Boy and the Mysteriously Disappearing Hair

Sounds like a great title for a kid's book, doesn't it? Well, it's actually not all that mysterious. Game Boy is excited to be in his first high school musical (not that High School Musical) as Cottonwood is preparing to put on Bye Bye Birdie (oh, that high school musical favorite). With a setting in the 1950s and being called on to play multiple characters (ranging from a teenager to a fez-wearing Shriner), the glorious curls had to be sacrificed for art. Frankly, we don't mind so much. When did I get to be such an old fogey that I think the hair styles sported by most of the youth these days are a bit much to take? Am I really that old?

Okay, I just couldn't resist including this one. How cute is he?

A new look

Not for the blog, but for me. I've been thinking for many years about donating hair to Locks of Love. I finally did it. I spoke with Mr. Perfect about cutting my hair very short. He hasn't seen me with very short hair. The shortest it's been since we met is still well below my shoulders.

So, here it is. The new hair cut. The new look.

What do you think? Mr. Perfect says he loves it, and he does like playing with it.
